Soul- A Virtual Jazz Concert
Brought to you by Disney and Pixar
Picture Perfect is pleased to present our work with Disney and Pixar to bring you this titillating virtual experience. With some of the most renowned HBCU jazz bands of the South, we are beyond humbled to be a part of such an empowering show of black excellence and musical talents. The magic of Jazz is one that plays a part in all types of modern music and has impacted the American Culture and in turn the world. Picture Perfect highlights the importance of the black community in film and television everyday, and as such brings black excellence into the spotlight as Disney releases its Pixar film, Soul on DVD and BlueRay.
Disney’s and Pixar’s “Soul” brings you the story of a demoralized jazz teacher who is on a journey back to his life and his dream of playing Jazz. After a near death experience, luck takes its turn and Joe Gardner finds himself in “The Great Before”. He is forced to confront the truth of his life and help another soul find their “spark”.
This inspiring series of performances brings you some of the greatest sounds from the South featuring historically black colleges and Universities;
Jackson State University
Also known as the Sonic Boom
Southern University in New Orleans
A.k.a The Human JukeBox
Florida A&M University
The Marching 100
PPPNE is honored to be part of the creation of this Virtual Jazz Concert through Jackson State’s booming and energetic jazz sound, the sensational percussion of A&M’s Drumline, and the showmanship of Southern University’s band forming the symbol of Mickey as their music reverberates through the arena. Thanks to the hard work of Producer, James Few with Taylor Made Productions Audiovisual (tmpav.com), as well as Tirrell D. Whittley with Liquid Soul (www.goliquidsoul.com) , we deliver this musical experience and the story that made it possible.

Disney enlisted the services of Picture Perfect Productions and Editorials to bring you this Virtual Jazz Concert hosted by Academy Award Winner, John Batiste. We begin this quarter hour with the rhythmic improvisational piano playing of Baptiste, setting the mood and bringing us into the arenas of some impressive talent. John captures the attention of any listener with what he calls “User Friendly Jazz”
